Call for volunteers for 2-day pop-up clinic coming to Mayfield Middle in May

 

MAYFIELD, KY. (March 30, 2022) – Remote Area Medical – RAM® – a major nonprofit provider of pop-up clinics delivering free dental, vision and medical care to those in need – is seeking volunteer medical and vision professionals and general support staff for its May 14-15 Disaster Response clinic following the historic tornado outbreak in Mayfield, Ky. The two-day clinic is to be held at Mayfield Middle School located at 112 W. College St., Mayfield, KY 42066. This clinic is in collaboration with the Kentucky Association of Health Plans.

 

This clinic will provide free vision and medical services to those affected by the December 2021 tornadoes, however, tornado damage is not required to receive services. RAM is also in need of interpreters and general support volunteers to help set-up and take-down. Additional Information:

·       All RAM services are free, and no ID is required. Free vision and medical services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

·       Services available at the free RAM Disaster Response clinic include eye exams, glaucoma testing, eyeglass prescriptions, eyeglasses made on-site and general medical exams. Free take-home colon cancer screening test kits will also be available.
